The project is a compilation of visuals created for Halina Rice’s immersive live shows in 2022. These shows are presented in highly captivating immersive surround sound with cutting-edge lighting and were performed at exciting venues like Hackney Earth (London) and Old Market (Brighton). The visuals needed to complement the scale and sophistication of the shows while maintaining their relationship to the existing visual language of Halina’s music. Each graphic was built generatively to reflect the quality of the tracks. The visuals, being mostly projected behind the artist, needed to convey spatial depth completing the immersive feel. This was achieved with a monochrome palette, slower overall movements, and intricate details. Visual ideas were derived from the motifs found on the cover artworks expanding the visual language into unique worlds in and of themselves.
