Momentum is a rich beat-driven track in Halina Rice’s 2022 album Elision. The visualizer for the same was developed to correlate with its moderate tempo and emphasize its beats at the same time. The core idea is a camera moving through a tunnel of cubes, following the tempo of the track. The morphing of the cubes along with light strobes augment the beats. The render was set up such that the cubes and their movements are only visible when the lights strobe. The scenes get more dramatic further along the track.
The entire visualizer was developed in TouchDesigner(a node-based programming environment) and composited in After Effects.
